Cantos de España, Op. 232
Five pieces composed 1892 and revised 1898. Includes Córdoba — Albéniz's most nocturnal and atmospheric piece outside Iberia — and the Orientale, a veiled evocation of Moorish Andalusia. The Preludio (known as Asturias when placed in the Suite Española) became the single most-performed of all Spanish guitar transcriptions.
