12 Études brillantes et mélodiques, Op. 105
Twelve late-intermediate to early-advanced études first published in 1854. Described by the composer as 'brilliant and melodious,' these studies are more demanding than Op. 100 or Op. 109 and reflect Burgmüller's mature Parisian style — influenced by Mendelssohn's Songs without Words in their lyricism and by the Romantic piano virtuoso tradition in their technical requirements.
