Elegien
Seven piano pieces composed 1907–1909 and published by Breitkopf & Härtel in 1908 and 1909, marking a decisive shift in Busoni's compositional voice. Playable as a cycle or separately. The pieces range from the meditative opening \"Nach der Wendung\" through a Neapolitan evocation, a chorale prelude, an intermezzo from Turandot, a waltz, a notturno, and the closing Berceuse.
