Slavonic Dances, Series II, Op. 72 (B. 145)
Eight dances for piano four hands composed in 1886–87 at Simrock's request, eight years after the first set. More harmonically adventurous and less overtly nationalistic than Op.46, these dances include the famous B major Odzemek (No.1), the introspective E minor Starodávný (No.2), and the exhilarating A♭ major finale. Like Op.46, they were immediately orchestrated.
