Piano Sonata No. 2
Three-movement sonata in G major — the most concise and Neoclassical of the 1936 set. More agile and delicate than the First Sonata, it is most closely derived from Baroque formal models. The finale combines a slow introduction with a witty Rondo. Canonic writing pervades all three movements. Still under copyright (Schott Music); not available on IMSLP.
