Piano concerto in A♭ major, composed c.1827. Hummel's last major concerto before Op.127 — richly orchestrated, lyrical in its slow movement, and brilliant in its finale. The key of A♭ was unusual for a concerto and shows Hummel's harmonic confidence. One of his most frequently recorded concertos today. Duration approximately 28 minutes.
