Piano Concerto No. 2 in A minor, Op. 85
Piano concerto in A minor, composed c.1821. One of Hummel's most important concertos and his most Romantically inflected — the minor key, lyrical slow movement, and brilliant finale all point toward Chopin (who kept this concerto in his repertoire). The kinship between this concerto's opening and Chopin's E minor Concerto is frequently noted. Duration approximately 28–30 minutes.
