Septet for piano, flute, oboe, horn, viola, cello, and double bass in D minor, composed c.1816 and one of Hummel's finest chamber works. A five-movement work combining brilliant piano writing with elegant wind and string textures in the tradition of the Beethoven Septet Op.20. Long admired as a paradigm of chamber writing.
