Piano Sonata No. 2 in E♭ major, Op. 13
Three-movement piano sonata in E♭ major composed c.1803–05. One of Hummel's most frequently revived sonatas, it balances Classical formal clarity with early Romantic richness. The opening Allegro con brio is driven and inventive; the slow movement sings with long Mozartian melody; the Rondo finale is brilliant and good-humoured.
