Piano Concerto No. 3 in G minor, Op. 58
Piano Concerto No. 3 in G minor, Op. 58, composed c.1820–1821. The darkest and most dramatic of Moscheles's earlier concertos, the G minor key bringing with it a seriousness and emotional weight that distinguishes it from the first two. The slow movement is particularly beautiful, and the finale has a driving energy that would have delighted the London audiences for whom Moscheles was the reigning virtuoso of the day.
