Twenty-one miniatures from 1914, originally published with illustrations by Charles Martin. Each piece depicts a sport or leisure activity with a wry verbal commentary. Satie called the opening Choral inappétissant a 'sort of preface'. One of the great examples of the livre de peintre in music.
