String Quartet No. 2 in F♯ minor, Op. 10
String quartet with soprano in the final two movements, composed 1907–08. The last movement ('Entrückung') dissolves tonality entirely — often cited as the first atonal composition. The soprano sings poems by Stefan George. While primarily a string quartet, the work marks the threshold of Schoenberg's atonal revolution and is closely linked to the piano works of Op.11. Soprano voice joins movements 3 and 4.
