Dances of the Dolls, Op. 91b
A suite of seven easy piano pieces compiled in 1952, arranged by Levon Atovmian from Shostakovich's ballet scores — primarily The Limpid Stream (Op. 39) and The Human Comedy (Op. 37). The seven pieces are Lyrical Waltz, Gavotte, Romance, Polka, Waltz-Scherzo, Hurdy-Gurdy, and Dance. Charming, approachable miniatures in the same spirit as the Children's Notebook, widely used as teaching pieces.
