3 Sonatinas, Op. 67
Three sonatinas composed 1912, widely regarded as the finest of Sibelius's piano works. Written in the shadow of the Fourth Symphony, they share that work's austerity, tonal ambiguity, and concentrated economy. The First Sonatina in F♯ minor has been called the most perfect of all Sibelius's piano compositions.
