Biography
A central figure of American Minimalism, Glass developed an additive compositional process building complex structures from repeated melodic and rhythmic cells. His piano works include the Etudes (twenty pieces), Metamorphosis (five pieces), and Mad Rush. His collaborations with Robert Wilson and Godfrey Reggio brought Minimalist aesthetics to wide audiences.
